Field note 21 · Version-limited guide

Chapter 5 Colored Light Beams

Route green and red to the central pillar, then clear the corruption behind it to expose the mirror needed for the blue beam.

Complete the central-pillar room

Direct green, red, and blue into the pillar's matching receivers. Blue needs the mirror hidden by corruption behind the pillar.

This covers one room in Chapter 5's second trial, not every light puzzle in that chapter.

Beam routes

Clear reachable corruption with the beams so you can cross the room. The directions below start from the entrance; green, red, then blue is the source guide's suggested sequence, not a verified mandatory order.

  1. Green, entrance right: send the beam to the far-end mirror, then turn that mirror toward the receiver on the pillar's back.
  2. Red, entrance left: turn its mirror right to reach the mirror halfway along the rightmost path. Redirect that mirror into the receiver on that side of the pillar.
  3. Blue, centre: aim left to reach the far-left-path mirror. Use it to burn away the corruption behind the pillar and expose another mirror. Relay the light through that hidden mirror to the remaining unused mirror, which faces the blue receiver.

Success and common obstacles

All 3 colours reaching their receivers reveals the symbol needed to progress. If blue cannot reach its receiver, check the corruption-covered mirror behind the pillar.

Sources and limits

This route is based on Ryan Woodrow's Chapter 5 light-beam guide for The Big Lead, published August 28, 2026 and reviewed September 5. Its Yahoo republication is the same source, not independent verification.

The written route is complete for this central-pillar room. It has not been independently reproduced here; other Chapter 5 doors and statue rooms are outside this page's scope. Return to puzzles by location.
