Field note 04 · Research draft

Resonance pre-order bonuses and editions

A historical purchasing guide for the Heritage Pack, digital preorder, physical disc, and separately sold collector box.

The Resonance preorder offer centered on the Heritage Pack. The Xbox preorder page listed a Minoan Sword, Alec's Pendant, and a digital artbook, while a narrated GamingBolt video described the same pack as a decorative sword, an equippable accessory, and a digital art book. After launch, Steam displayed the Heritage Pack as separately purchasable DLC. A Focus staff message added an important distinction: physical discs included the pack, whereas it was a preorder reward for digital copies.

Direct answer

If you preordered a qualifying digital edition, the collected first-party Xbox page says the Heritage Pack was the bonus. If you bought a physical disc, a Focus staff response said the pack was included with the disc. If you are buying after release, do not expect the historical preorder condition to apply automatically; the pack appeared as separate DLC on Steam. Check the current product description for your platform and region before paying.

The research did not find several gameplay-expanding editions with different campaigns. It found the base game, the Heritage Pack, and a separate Collector's Box described by a sponsored G2A News article. The Collector's Box was reported not to include the game itself. That makes it merchandise rather than a complete premium game edition, and buyers should verify the retailer listing rather than infer that a box contains a playable copy.

Heritage Pack contents

The most consistent item names are Minoan Sword, Alec's Pendant, and a digital artbook. The Xbox preorder product page lists those items, and the post-launch Steam DLC page supports the pack's continued existence. A separate research pass found a claim that the in-game artbook contains more than thirty pages. Because the page copy and package details may vary by store, this draft avoids turning that page count into the headline promise.

One Epic-related text snippet used “Hero's Blade” where the body and other platforms used “Minoan Sword.” The research could not establish whether that was an alternate localized label, a store-page error, or a genuinely different item. The cross-platform evidence favors Minoan Sword, but the conflict should remain visible rather than silently rewritten.

To be confirmed: Whether “Hero's Blade” was ever a separate reward was not resolved. Use the current in-game inventory and platform entitlement description for the final item name.

The collected sources describe the sword as cosmetic or decorative and the pendant as equippable. They do not prove a competitive advantage, exclusive quest, or required story content. Do not buy the pack on the assumption that it unlocks a campaign chapter. The digital artbook is content for viewing, not evidence of an additional playable area.

Digital and physical copies

The Xbox preorder page is the clearest surviving first-party record for the digital offer. Steam's main store page had moved into a post-launch state by the research date, so it no longer displayed the original preorder terms. That is normal storefront behavior and does not contradict the earlier offer. It does mean that a current main page cannot by itself prove what every preorder customer received.

A Focus staff member stated that the physical disc included the Heritage Pack, while the digital version used it as a preorder incentive. The same message reportedly described unlock conditions for the weapon, pendant, and artbook. This is staff guidance in an official community server, not a permanent retail contract for every region. Physical packaging, insert codes, and retailer inventory can differ, so inspect the exact sealed product or retailer listing.

If a qualifying entitlement is missing, keep the purchase receipt and check whether the content is installed separately. Console add-ons sometimes require a manual library download, while PC stores may attach DLC automatically. The research did not collect a universal activation procedure, so it would be misleading to prescribe one sequence for Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, and Epic. Platform support is the safest next step.

Collector's Box

The sponsored G2A News overview described a Collector's Box containing Sophia and Theseus figures, a SteelBook, three art prints, and a replica of Sophia's ring. It also said the box did not include the game. This source is useful for identifying the reported merchandise configuration, but its sponsored nature and retail context mean stock, price, territory, and final contents should be verified with an authorized seller.

A SteelBook does not necessarily mean a disc is inside. Collector boxes commonly sell physical display items separately from the software license. Before ordering, look for an explicit “game included” statement and the supported platform. Product photos and names alone are not enough. The research does not establish whether every regional distributor offered the same box.

Buying after launch

Post-launch buyers can compare the base game price with the Heritage Pack's current standalone price. The original preorder value is historical; it should not pressure a buyer into an unsafe key reseller or an account-sharing offer. Use official platform stores or authorized retailers, confirm region compatibility, and read whether a listing contains the base game, only DLC, or only physical merchandise.

The launch date was August 27, 2026, so any page still framed as an active preorder after that date may be cached, region-specific, or selling leftover inventory. A working old product URL does not guarantee that its terms apply to a new transaction. The current checkout description and receipt define the purchase. Keep the distinction between a free preorder reward and a paid post-launch add-on.

No redeemable promotional code was collected for the Heritage Pack. The pack is a store entitlement, not a public code that this guide can reproduce. Avoid websites promising a free key, executable unlocker, or replacement files. The research plan explicitly excludes invented codes and unsafe download routes.

Sources and limits

The primary record is the official Xbox preorder page, supported by the Steam Heritage Pack page and GamingBolt's narrated buyer overview. Focus staff comments supplied the physical-versus-digital distinction. The Collector's Box details came from a sponsored G2A News article and are therefore labeled as retailer reporting rather than official universal terms.

This is a historical offer summary, not a current stock checker. Prices, availability, region locks, packaging, and DLC delivery may have changed. The second direct narrated video requested by the original research flow was not found, and the Epic item-name conflict remains unresolved. Those limits do not erase the documented Heritage Pack, but they prevent stronger cross-platform claims.

A dated guide, not a timeless claim
