Field note 13 · Version-limited guide

Resonance trophies and achievements

PlayStation has 36 ordinary trophies plus a platinum; Steam lists 36 achievements, and most cleanup can use chapter select.

PlayStation lists 37 trophies when its platinum is included: 1 platinum, 5 gold, 9 silver and 22 bronze. Steam lists the same 36 gameplay objectives without the extra platinum. Most objectives can be cleaned up with chapter select, but “Like a warrior” requires all 6 Mastery branches and therefore at least 165 Resonance Points in one continuous playthrough. Do not plan to repair a shortfall by replaying an early chapter.

Counts by platform

The apparent 37-versus-36 discrepancy is a platform convention. Steam's official Global Achievements page shows 36 entries. The current PlayStation list contains those 36 objectives plus “The Sea Scorpion,” awarded for unlocking every other trophy. Its breakdown is 22 bronze, 9 silver, 5 gold and 1 platinum. Epic has also been reported with the 36 gameplay achievements, but its live list was not the deciding source for this comparison.

Steam completion percentages and trophy-site owner counts change daily, so this guide does not use them as permanent difficulty evidence. PowerPyx estimated 3/10 and about 20 hours; 100% Guides estimated 2/10 and 15 to 20 hours. Both report 1 required playthrough when the 165-point condition is protected, no online objectives and no trophy that requires selecting a particular difficulty.

Some early material used a different Chapter 9 title. The current platform name is “Night has come.” When a checklist and the platform UI disagree, the live platform description wins; names and tracking behavior can be patched without creating an additional objective.

Roadmap overview

Use the main playthrough for the story, all obvious collectibles and at least 165 Resonance Points. Buy all 6 Mastery branches as soon as the total permits so “Like a warrior” is secured before cleanup. Relics, Blades, Charms, Theseus' Echoes and combat actions can then be revisited through chapter select or checkpoint restart.

The story supplies 13 chapter-completion trophies plus “A new beginning” after all 14 chapter entries. None is online. A careful first run followed by targeted cleanup is enough on the researched build; a second full run becomes necessary only if the point threshold was missed or a save/trigger problem prevents recovery.

Keep completion-time estimates separate from guarantees. A routed run may land near 15 to 20 hours, while blind exploration or trigger troubleshooting can take longer. Difficulty ratings are author judgments, not platform facts.

The missable warning

“Like a warrior” asks you to unlock the 6 Mastery branches. PowerPyx, 100% Guides and PlayStationTrophies independently agree that the full tree costs 165 Resonance Points and that those points must be gathered in one playthrough. Loading an older chapter restores the point total associated with that chapter; collecting extra points there does not add them to a later chapter snapshot.

PowerPyx and PlayStationTrophies report 200 available points, leaving a margin of 35. A detailed 100% Guides route currently catalogs 189 points. Patch 1.02 moved some pickups and shifted some point awards into combat encounters, which plausibly explains why route counts differ. The stable planning number is 165, not an assumption that every current build exposes exactly 200 trackable pickups.

Points only become safe when the next checkpoint is reached. If Sophia dies before then, revisit the pickups or encounter rewards from that segment. Do not use chapter select to farm the point total, and do not erase a save because of a single community comment. First compare the current branch count and point total with the active profile.

Complete objective list

The 36 Steam gameplay objectives, which match the non-platinum PlayStation set, are:

  • Story: Blood ties (Chapter 1), Felons (2), Those before us (3), From hell it rose (4), Desolation it wrought (5), What Lies Beneath (6), Death it sowed (7), Resonance (8), Night has come (9), Parallel paths (10), Patera (11), Fading Light (12), As One (13), and A new beginning for completing all chapters.
  • Collection and progression: Hoarder for every Relic of the Present and Past; Plunderer for all 8 base-game Blades; Superstitious for all 30 Charms; Like a warrior for all 6 Mastery branches; and In the name of my kin for all 5 Theseus' Echoes. The Heritage Pack Blade is not required for the base list.
  • Combat: Returning the favor, kill an Archer with a throwing knife; Cannon fodder, make a raging Brute kill one soldier; Inherited brutality, kill 4 enemies simultaneously with a Focus attack; Untouchable, parry 6 attacks in a row; Excessive force, escape a Corrupted grab with a Focus attack; Adaptable, kill with each Blade; No holds barred, stun 20 enemies with throwables; Overboard, push 20 enemies to their deaths; They were people, destroy 100 Petrified with light; Sharp enough for you?, make 25 critical-strike kills; Skilled maneuverer, stun 3 enemies together with Echo's Return; Refraction, burn the creature 10 times with Light Concentrate; and Baitfish, lure 20 Petrified simultaneously.
  • Exploration and chase: Sea you later!, greet the turtle; Close call, escape the creature at the last moment 5 times; Unpredictable, break its trail by jumping gaps 25 times; and Theater enthusiast, watch the entire carnival puppet show.

PlayStation adds only “The Sea Scorpion,” its platinum for earning the other 36. The story names reveal chapter titles but not late plot events; consult the platform UI if you prefer to keep hidden entries concealed.

Chapter select cleanup

Chapter select is appropriate for Relics, Blades, Charms, Echoes and most combat or miscellaneous objectives. The chapter interface exposes collection counters, while Steam profile pages show progress counters such as 37 Relics, 8 Blades, 30 Charms, 5 Echoes and 6 Mastery branches. Checkpoint restart can shorten repeatable combat work, but confirm that the relevant counter advanced before leaving.

Resonance Points are the exception. Chapter replay loads the historical total from that point in the original run rather than merging later gains. Finish “Like a warrior” before treating chapter select as a universal cleanup tool. The game uses autosaves and multiple profile slots rather than ordinary manual saves, so read the profile and chapter prompts before switching.

Group cleanup by location. Chapter II contains the puppet show, Chapter III the turtle, later combat chapters provide efficient Brute, Focus, Petrified and creature encounters. Use a current route for exact subchapter locations because patches can alter practical farming behavior even when the achievement description remains unchanged.

Avoid downloaded saves, achievement unlockers and replacement profile files. They are unnecessary for the documented route and create save-integrity and account risks that the cited sources do not validate.

Version and trigger notes

PowerPyx reports that “Untouchable” may fail to unlock reliably on lower difficulty even though difficulty is not part of its official requirement. Its launch-build workaround is to select Nightmare with Invincible Mode and use the Rusty Sword while attempting 6 consecutive parries. Treat that as a Patch 1.02-era workaround, not proof that Nightmare is required.

“Adaptable” has also received launch-period trigger reports. First make another confirmed kill with each of the 8 base Blades. PowerPyx lists temporarily removing the Heritage Pack on PS5 as a last-resort workaround for owners of the extra Blade, but recheck the current patch before changing installed content. Neither workaround changes the official objective text.

These reports are why this page is version-limited rather than timeless. Before a long cleanup session, compare the live platform list and the latest patch notes with the September 2 evidence snapshot.

Sources and limits

The platform counts and objective names were checked against Steam's official Global Achievements page and TrueTrophies' current PlayStation list. The 165-point rule and cleanup route were cross-checked across PowerPyx, 100% Guides, and PlayStationTrophies.

The Steam community guide above remains player corroboration and is not the sole basis for any critical rule. Sources were reviewed through September 2, 2026. This site has not independently earned every objective; current first-party descriptions and later verified patch behavior supersede the dated workarounds above.
